After 15 years in the field, I know a lot about Learning & Development. But there's always more to learn, and it's no secret that the expectations placed on leaders, managers and team are only getting more complex.

That's why research is a regular part of my practice. I conduct surveys and interview to ensure I have my finger on the pulse of the unique challenges of today’s leaders, managers and teams. 

Next-Generation Manager Development

During the fall of 2023,  we interviewed 120+ managers about their challenges and experiences. Through that research, we uncovered three key insights: 

  1. The people part of people management is the hardest part of the job

  2. Mundane manager training wastes time and money

  3. Live learning experiences have the greatest impact on managers
